Barbecue Pork Chops
This recipe for Barbecue Pork Chops is cooked on the stovetop in a cast iron skillet but tastes as if they were just grilled in your backyard. BBQ pork chops can be pan-seared or baked and are quick and easy to make.

- 4 boneless pork chops about 1 ½ inch thick
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (approximately)
- kosher salt as needed to season both sides of each pork chop
- black pepper as needed to season both sides of each pork chop
- ¼ cup barbecue sauce (approximately)
BBQ Porkchops on the Stovetop
Preheat cast iron skillet over medium heat.
Rub the pork chops with olive oil and season with salt and pepper on each side of the pork chops.
4 boneless pork chops, 1 tablespoon olive oil, kosher salt, black pepper
Place pork chops in the skillet once it is hot.
Cook for 7-8 minutes on one side and flip the pork chops. Pour the barbecue sauce on the pork chops (just on one side) and cook for an additional 7-8 minutes.
¼ cup barbecue sauce
If you have a meat thermometer, check the internal temperature. It should read 145°F once done.
Serve with additional barbecue sauce, optional.
How to Make Baked Barbecue Pork Chops in the Oven
You can also cook the pork chops in the oven. Just preheat your oven to 350°F. Place your cast iron skillet in the oven while it preheats so that the skillet preheats as well.
Rub the pork chops with olive oil and season them with salt and pepper before placing them in the preheated skillet.

Cook them for 20-25 minutes, flipping them if desired. Add the barbecue sauce at the end, at the last five minutes.

Check them with a meat thermometer to ensure doneness. The temperature should read 145°F once done.
