Use some frozen fruit so the smoothie is nice and thick. It also chills it so you don't need to add ice to the smoothie. It is best to use some frozen and fresh fruit. If you use all frozen, the smoothie might turn out too thick.
I like to use the tart cherries for this smoothie. However you can sweet cherries if you prefer those.
This recipe makes just about 4 cups smoothie. If you want more to share, it is easy to double the recipe.
Place any extra smoothie in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. It will most likely settle at the bottom so you should stir it a little before serving.
