- 2 apples medium to large sized, sliced
- 2 cups blueberries frozen
- 1 cup raspberries frozen
- 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
- 1 ½ cup water or coconut water
Wash and slice apples into medium-sized pieces. Discard the apple seeds and core.
2 apples
Place into the blender and add in all other ingredients. Blend until smooth.
2 cups blueberries, 1 cup raspberries, 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed, 1 ½ cup water
Serve chilled.
Use a couple of different varieties of apples for the best flavor. Mix red and green apples, or use a couple of your favorite red apple varieties.
Don't peel the apples. Leaving the skin on the apples gives you more nutritional benefits.
This Apple Smoothie recipe makes about four cups. (We divide it up between the four of us in my family. Makes a great healthy snack!)
If you have any leftover smoothie, store it in a glass in your refrigerator for up to two days. It may settle at the bottom a little, so give it a stir before drinking it.
