If you’re looking for a quick, healthy snack that will give you an energy boost, you can’t go wrong with No-Bake Energy Bites. These little balls of goodness are easy to make, require no baking, and can be customized to your liking with a variety of healthy ingredients.

One of our favorite additions to energy bites is tahini, a creamy paste made from ground sesame seeds that’s packed with protein, healthy fats, and minerals. These delicious and nutritious no-bake energy bites with tahini will keep you fueled and satisfied throughout the day.

Whether you’re looking for a pre-workout snack, an afternoon pick-me-up, or a sweet treat after dinner, these energy bites are sure to hit the spot. This easy snack is a popular recipe with my family, and we never make the recipe the same way twice. The best thing about them is that they taste just like cookie dough – perfect for a sweet tooth – but they are still a perfect healthy snack.

Filled with simple ingredients that have so many great health benefits, these protein bites are a delicious way to encourage healthy snacking for your whole family.

Ingredients Needed

The ingredients in no bake energy bites, laid out and labeled.

This easy recipe is made with delicious, wholesome ingredients.

  • Tahini – You can also use Creamy Peanut Butter, sunflower seed butter, almond butter, or cashew butter if anyone in your family has allergies. Just use your favorite nut butter.
  • Maple Syrup or Honey
  • Coconut Flour or Almond Flour
  • Chocolate Chips, Dark Chocolate Chips, or Mini Chocolate Chips – I like to use the Enjoy Life allergen-free chocolate chips to make this snack even healthier.
  • Optional – Old Fashioned Oats, Finely Chopped Walnuts, Ground Flaxseed, Chia Seeds, Hemp Seeds, Sea Salt, or Ground Cinnamon

Equipment Needed

  • A Food Processor
  • A Small Cookie Scoop
  • Measuring Cups and Measuring Spoons
  • A Medium-Sized Bowl

How to Make Them

These No-Bake Energy Bites are so simple to make.

In a food processor, combine the tahini, maple syrup, and coconut flour until a crumbly texture forms. The texture shouldn’t be dry or sticky – it will just look crumbly and should easily be able to be molded into a ball.

In a medium or large mixing bowl, stir chocolate chips into the “dough.” You can use regular or mini chocolate chips.

Once all the ingredients are mixed together, roll the “dough” into balls. When making the small balls, using a small cookie scoop gets the job done much faster. I use this one that measures one tablespoon for each scoop.

If you make them about one inch each in size, you should get about 12-15 energy bites. After you have each one shaped into a ball, press a few mini chocolate chips into them or roll them in more chocolate chips for a little extra sweetness!

Cover the balls with plastic wrap or place them in an air-tight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

How to Store Energy Bites

Store them back in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to a week. These delicious energy bites are best served chilled.

That’s it…no baking or spending hours in the kitchen. Just a nice, quick recipe to make…The only problem is, just as quickly as they are made, this quick snack will be eaten!

Variations and Substitutions

You can easily add different flavors to these easy energy bites by changing the mix-ins.

  • Use Different Kinds of Nut Butter – Tahini is usually a safe option for classrooms, but if your children don’t have a peanut-free room, you can use peanut butter in this recipe as well!
  • Add Dried Coconut Flakes or Shredded Coconut. The chocolate and coconut combination almost tastes like an almond joy.
  • Add Dried Fruit. I like to add chopped dates or prunes to these no-bake energy balls to add a little sweetness – especially if I’m doing a lot of physical activity.
  • Add Old-Fashioned Oats or Rolled Oats – This will add more carbohydrates and more energy to these energy bites.
